The sheet George held up was almost indistinguishable from a fleece blanket, so covered with feline fur it was. In packing our little used upstairs closet, my brother-in-law had happened across our skittish cat’s hidey-hole. Hair-coated linens were not the only treasures George unearthed, but he did not complain, saying only, “this really is a Charlie chore.”
